Choosing your pool builder is probably the most important decision that you will make. To prevent problems with your pool,it is very important that you select a quality builder.

Some guidelines for you to follow are...

  • How long has the company been in business?

  • Are they financially sound? Will they be able to cover all the warranties?

  • What is the builder's reputation in the community? Are they locally owned and use only local subcontractors?

  • Have a designer come to your house. Once you have established the strength of the company, have the designer come to your property so his/her estimate will be a complete one.

  • Don't be tempted to shop by phone. Often this sales technique can lead to misleading quotes.

  • Pool construction is very much a "you get what you pay for" industry. Be cautious if the bidis too low. Do your homework.

  • Make sure the builder is a member of the NSPI (The National Spa and Pool Institute). Even more important check with the local Registrar of Contractors to see if there are any complaints against the company.

  • If you pick a quality builder, the construction of your pool will be an enjoyable experienceand you will have a beautiful outdoor paradise.
